Preview Roundups
December 15, 2019
Philadelphia at Winnipeg 5:00 PM ET
The Winnipeg Jets look to rebound from a loss to the NHL’s worst team and open a three-game homestand with a positive result when they host the injury-ravaged Philadelphia Flyers on Sunday. The Jets, who are 13-4-2 since the beginning of November, suffered a 5-2 setback at Detroit on Thursday that snapped Red Wings’ 12-game losing streak and coach Paul Maurice looks for his team to pick up the pace against the Flyers.
Minnesota at Chicago 7:00 PM ET
The Minnesota Wild have been one of the league’s hottest teams, suffering one regulation loss in their last 15 games, and they’ll look to keep it going against a division rival Sunday when they visit the Chicago Blackhawks. Minnesota center Eric Staal netted a pair of goals - including the 69th game-winner of his 16-year career - to lead his squad to a 4-1 victory Saturday against Philadelphia.
Los Angeles at Detroit 7:00 PM ET
The Detroit Red Wings have answered a 12-game losing streak with a pair of victories and can match their season-high winning streak when they host the Los Angeles Kings on Sunday in a battle of last-place teams in each conference. The Red Wings went 0-10-2 during their frustrating run, but knocked off Winnipeg 5-2 on Thursday and received 42 saves from Jonathan Bernier in Saturday’s 2-1 triumph at Montreal.
Vancouver at Vegas 8:00 PM ET
The Vegas Golden Knights try to continue their mastery over Vancouver when they host the Canucks on Sunday in the first of two meetings in five days. Vegas, which is 7-0-1 all-time versus Vancouver since joining the league for the 2017-18 season, is coming off a 3-2 overtime victory at Dallas on Friday while the Canucks began a two-game trip with a 4-2 loss to San Jose on Saturday.
