Preview Roundups
December 08, 2019
Anaheim at Winnipeg 3:00 PM ET
Not every game is going to end with a victory, and even though the Winnipeg Jets left Dallas with an overtime loss Thursday, their late rally to earn a point provides a boost entering Sunday’s home contest with the Anaheim Ducks. Winnipeg rallied from a 2-0 deficit against their division rival to tie the game on center Mark Scheifele’s goal with 45 seconds remaining in regulation before falling 3-2 in overtime, but earned a point for the eighth time in their past 10 games.
San Jose at Florida 5:00 PM ET
The San Jose Sharks hope to wake up their dormant power play and put a halt to a frustrating three-game losing streak Sunday when they visit the Florida Panthers, who come in off a satisfying performance. The Sharks had six minutes of early power-play time at Tampa Bay on Saturday, but came up empty and went on to suffer a 7-1 loss as their man-advantage unit extended its streak to 10 games without a goal (0-for-23).
NY Rangers at Vegas 7:00 PM ET
The New York Rangers have lost all four matchups this season against Pacific Division opponents, but will have a chance to end the drought when they open a four-game road trip at the Vegas Golden Knights on Sunday night. The next four will be against teams from the Pacific and Sunday's matchup offers New York a chance to avenge a 4-1 loss to Vegas on Monday night.
Arizona at Chicago 7:00 PM ET
The Arizona Coyotes continue to defy expectations, sitting one point behind the first-place Edmonton Oilers in the Pacific Division. The Coyotes entered the weekend tied for the Western Conference lead for most wins away from home and look to continue that success when they wrap up a four-game road trip at the Chicago Blackhawks on Sunday night.
Buffalo at Edmonton 8:00 PM ET
The Edmonton Oilers continue their four-game homestand Sunday when they welcome a Buffalo Sabres squad whose hot start to the season seems like a distant memory. The Sabres, who started 9-2-1 but are 4-9-5 since, hope to end their Western Canada trip with a victory after they lost 4-3 to Calgary on Thursday and followed that up with a 6-5 overtime setback Saturday against Vancouver.
