Preview Roundups
December 02, 2019
New Jersey at Buffalo 7:00 PM ET
The Buffalo Sabres may be starting to climb out of the doldrums of a prolonged slump and look to extend their point streak to four games when they host the New Jersey Devils on Monday night. The Sabres are 1-0-2 in their last three games after a disappointing 2-1 overtime loss at Toronto on Saturday and own at least a point in four of the last five contests following a frustrating 1-7-1 stretch.
Vegas at NY Rangers 7:00 PM ET
The New York Rangers have put their best foot forward during a very busy schedule, collecting 11 of a possible 14 points (5-1-1) during a seven-game stretch that was completed in just 11 days. The Rangers aim to cash in again on Monday when the Vegas Golden Knights pay a visit to Madison Square Garden.
NY Islanders at Detroit 7:30 PM ET
The New York Islanders snapped a three-game slide last time out and hope to end their scoring slump Monday night when they visit the struggling Detroit Red Wings, who have dropped nine consecutive contests. Thomas Greiss, who left in the first period due to illness, and Semyon Varlamov combined for a shutout as the Islanders defeated Columbus 2-0 on Saturday after scoring just twice during their slide (0-2-1).
St. Louis at Chicago 8:30 PM ET
The St. Louis Blues have bolstered their lead atop the Central Division due in large part to their sterling performance away from the Gateway City. The reigning Stanley Cup champions boast a 9-2-3 road record heading into Monday's contest against the streaking Patrick Kane and the skidding Chicago Blackhawks.
Los Angeles at Anaheim 10:00 PM ET
The Anaheim Ducks don't appear to have much gas in the tank heading into their first installment of the Freeway Faceoff against the visiting Los Angeles Kings on Monday. The Ducks were shut out by Winnipeg in their last contest and have dropped 10 of their last 12 games (2-6-4).
