Preview Roundups
November 10, 2019
Florida at NY Rangers 1:00 PM ET
The New York Rangers have hit their best stride without impact player Mika Zibanejad in the lineup and they'll go without him again Sunday against the visiting Florida Panthers. The Rangers have won four of their last five games without Zibanejad, who will miss his sixth straight contest Sunday because of a neck injury after totaling four goals and 11 points in nine games.
Dallas at Winnipeg 2:00 PM ET
The Winnipeg Jets played one of their most complete games of the season Friday, so it makes sense they will deploy the same lineup for Sunday’s home contest against the Dallas Stars. The Jets reshuffled power play scored the first goal in Friday’s home 4-1 triumph over Vancouver, Blake Wheeler earned an assist after moving from wing to center, Connor Hellebuyck made 32 saves in goal and he will get the start Sunday.
New Jersey at Vancouver 4:00 PM ET
The Vancouver Canucks have stumbled after a strong start, losing three in a row and four of five, but they hope to get back on track when they open a four-game homestand against the New Jersey Devils on Sunday afternoon. The Canucks have dropped back-to-back games by three goals but they are the only Western Conference team that has yet to lose in regulation at home (4-0-2).
Vegas at Detroit 5:00 PM ET
The Detroit Red Wings hope to get a boost from beating one of the league’s best teams, with the help of a newcomer, when they complete a two-game stretch at home against the Vegas Golden Knights on Sunday night. The Red Wings snapped a four-game slide with a 4-2 victory over Boston (11-3-2) on Friday with a pair of power-play goals from forward Robby Fabbri, who was acquired from St. Louis two days earlier.
Toronto at Chicago 7:00 PM ET
The Toronto Maple Leafs won’t have one of their most productive players when they attempt to extend a point streak to six games Sunday night against the host Chicago Blackhawks. Right wing Mitch Marner, who signed a six-year, $65.3 extension before the season and has 18 points in 18 games, suffered an ankle injury during the second period of Saturday’s 3-2 shootout loss to Philadelphia and did not make the trip to the Windy City.
Philadelphia at Boston 7:00 PM ET
The Atlantic Division-leading Boston Bruins look to rebound after a rare poor performance last time out when they return home to take on the surging Philadelphia Flyers on Sunday night. The Bruins had at least a point in 13 of the first 14 games this season before dropping a 5-4 decision in Montreal on Tuesday and suffering a 4-2 defeat against struggling Detroit on Friday.
Edmonton at Anaheim 9:00 PM ET
The Edmonton Oilers own the second-best record in the Western Conference and are sitting atop the Pacific Division, but they face a challenging three-week stretch to maintain that position. The Oilers play eight of the next 11 games away from home, including seven road contests versus division rivals beginning with Sunday night's matchup at the Anaheim Ducks.
