Preview Roundups
November 08, 2019
Tampa Bay at Buffalo 2:00 PM ET
The Buffalo Sabres will have plenty of local heroes on the ice when they take on the Tampa Bay Lightning on Friday afternoon in the 2019 Global Series at Ericsson Globe in Stockholm, Sweden. Buffalo defensemen Rasmus Dahlin and Lawrence Pilut, along with forwards Marcus Johansson, Johan Larsson and Victor Olofsson, return to their home country for the first of a two-game set between the Atlantic Division rivals.
Boston at Detroit 7:30 PM ET
The Boston Bruins find themselves experiencing an unfamiliar feeling after falling short in their last contest, a result that the Detroit Red Wings unfortunately know all too well. The Bruins aim to get back on track Friday when they visit the reeling Red Wings, who have lost four in a row and 12 of their last 13 (1-11-1).
Vancouver at Winnipeg 8:00 PM ET
The Vancouver Canucks will try to avoid their first three-game losing streak of the season and end an eight-game slide against Winnipeg when they visit the Jets on Friday. Vancouver was on a 5-0-3 run until Thursday's 5-2 loss at Chicago, and hope to defeat Winnipeg for the first time since Dec. 20, 2016.
New Jersey at Edmonton 9:00 PM ET
The Edmonton Oilers have cooled off after a scorching hot start to the season and will look to get moving in a positive direction again when they host the New Jersey Devils on Friday night. The Oilers won seven of the season’s first eight contests, but have suffered six losses in their last nine outings (3-4-2) after failing the test against reigning Stanley Cup champion St. Louis 5-2 on Wednesday.
