Denied in their bid for their first 3-0-0 start in 11 years, the Buffalo Sabres still have yet to lose in regulation as they hit a favorable portion of the schedule. Coming off their first loss in overtime at Columbus, the Sabres will square off against their first Atlantic Division rival when they host the Montreal Canadiens on Wednesday night.

The Philadelphia Flyers traversed the Atlantic Ocean and ventured nearly 4,200 miles to secure their first win of the season. Five days later following their return trip, the Flyers will bid for their second victory in as many games on Wednesday night when they host former teammate Wayne Simmonds and the New Jersey Devils.

The Vancouver Canucks were unable to generate much offense as they began the season with a pair of losses on the road. They hope to get going Wednesday, when they face off against the Los Angeles Kings in their home opener.
