Philadelphia at NY Rangers 12:00 PM ET
The Philadelphia Flyers look to extend their point streak to eight games and continue ascending in the Metropolitan Division Sunday afternoon when they visit the struggling New York Rangers. The Flyers, who suffered through a 10-game losing streak earlier this season, are 5-0-2 in their last seven outings after Sean Couturier’s goal clinched a 2-1 overtime victory at Columbus on Friday.
Edmonton at Colorado 3:00 PM ET
After hitting another speed bump on the road, the Colorado Avalanche return home and can establish a franchise record when they host Connor McDavid and the Edmonton Oilers on Sunday afternoon. Colorado also will welcome back leading scorer Nathan MacKinnon from injury in its bid to set a club mark with its 11th consecutive victory at home.
New Jersey at Carolina 5:00 PM ET
The Carolina Hurricanes attempt to shut down Taylor Hall and avenge a recent loss when they host the Metropolitan Division-rival New Jersey Devils on Sunday. Carolina, which is one point back in the race for the second wild card in the Eastern Conference, has dropped two straight games - including Thursday's 5-2 setback at New Jersey.
Pittsburgh at Columbus 6:00 PM ET
The Pittsburgh Penguins continue their quest for first place in the Metropolitan Division on Sunday as they seek a fifth consecutive victory when they visit the Columbus Blue Jackets. Pittsburgh posted its 11th straight home win on Saturday, a 5-3 triumph over Toronto that extended its point streak to six games (5-0-1) and moved it within one point of division-leading Washington.
Toronto at Detroit 7:00 PM ET
The Detroit Red Wings attempt to take advantage of familiar surroundings and remain in the hunt for a playoff spot when they begin a four-game homestand Sunday against the Original Six-rival Toronto Maple Leafs. Detroit posted a 3-1 triumph in Nashville on Saturday to improve to 3-1-1 in its last five contests and climb within seven points of the New York Islanders for the second wild card in the Eastern Conference.
Dallas at San Jose 8:00 PM ET
The Dallas Stars have edged their way up the Central Division standings with six wins in the past seven contests and look to continue climbing when they begin a three-game California trip against the San Jose Sharks on Sunday night. The Stars rebounded from a rough performance against Vancouver with a 2-1 victory over St. Louis on Friday and now sit in a virtual tie for third in the Central with the Blues.
Florida at Winnipeg 8:00 PM ET
Captain Blake Wheeler snapped a 16-game goal drought last time out and looks to put together another big night when his Winnipeg Jets continue a 10-game homestand against the surging Florida Panthers on Sunday night. Wheeler scored twice and added an assist in Friday’s decisive 6-1 victory over Colorado to extend his point streak to four games and push his team-leading total to 64.
