Preview Roundups
March 07, 2019
Iowa at Wisconsin 7:00 PM ET
Wisconsin looks to move one step closer toward securing a double bye in the Big Ten tournament when it hosts Iowa on Thursday. The No. 21 Badgers have won three of their last four games, including a 61-57 victory against Penn State on Saturday, to reach 12 conference wins for the ninth time in the last 10 years, and hope to maintain sole possession of fourth place in the Big Ten standings by completing the season sweep of the Hawkeyes following a 72-66 triumph Nov. 30.
Temple at Connecticut 7:00 PM ET
Temple appears to be in good shape to make the NCAA Tournament, but a loss to Connecticut wouldn't help its case. The Owls look to sweep the two-game season series from the Huskies when the teams meet Thursday in Connecticut.
Cincinnati at Central Florida 7:00 PM ET
Central Florida took down the top team in the American Athletic Conference -- and the team with the best record in the nation -- on Saturday as the Knights upended then-No. 8 Houston 69-64. Now UCF returns home looking to repeat that success on Thursday when it faces No. 19 Cincinnati, which benefited from that big Knights win as the Bearcats moved into a tie with Houston atop the conference after defeating Memphis 71-69.
Indiana at Illinois 8:00 PM ET
Indiana enters the final week of the regular season barely above .500, but its NCAA Tournament bubble remarkably has not burst, according to some analysts, and that provides incentive for Wednesday night's visit to Illinois. The Hoosiers were all but dead in the water a week ago after losing 13-of-14 games, but rallied for upsets over two ranked opponents to rekindle their postseason hopes.
Southern Methodist at Houston 9:00 PM ET
No. 12 Houston must rebound from a loss for the first time since early January and avoid looking ahead to its regular-season finale when struggling SMU pays a visit on Thursday night for an American Athletic Conference contest. The Cougars saw their 12-game winning streak come to an end and lost for the first time in 34 home contests Saturday with a 69-64 setback against Central Florida.
UCLA at Colorado 9:00 PM ET

Colorado and UCLA, two Pac-12 teams who were all but written off earlier this season, still have shots at top-four conference finishes and first-round byes in next week’s league tournament in Las Vegas. They’ll put those hopes and aspirations on the line Thursday night in Boulder as UCLA visits the Buffaloes.

Southern California at Utah 10:00 PM ET

With two games remaining, only four seeds (No. 1 Washington, No. 2 Arizona State, No. 11 Washington State and No. 12 California) have been locked up for next week’s Pac-12 Tournament. That means eight seeds - including two first-round byes - are still up for grabs, and Utah along with visiting USC are in the thick of that mix heading into their game Thursday

California at Stanford 11:00 PM ET
California coach Wyking Jones’ optimism was finally rewarded last week as the last-place Bears won consecutive conference games for the first time since the 2017 Pac-12 tournament. Cal looks to build on the late-season momentum Thursday against host Stanford, which has lost three of its last four games and fallen into a tie for 10th place in the conference standings.
