SMU has recovered from a rough start to the season by winning seven of the last eight games and looks to keep rolling when it visits struggling Tulane in an American Athletic Conference matchup Friday night. The Mustangs, who lost three of their first five contests in November, received 20 points from senior guard Jahmal McMurray to earn an 82-54 victory over East Carolina in the league opener Wednesday.

Buffalo will begin defense of its Mid-American Conference title Friday at Eastern Michigan. The No. 20 Bulls closed their non-conference slate Saturday with a victory at Canisius and will conclude a four-game road trip, their longest of the season, against the Eagles.
