Preview Roundups
December 31, 2019
Boston at Charlotte 3:00 PM ET
The Boston Celtics aim to bounce back from their most lopsided loss of the season when they visit the Charlotte Hornets on Tuesday for a New Year's Eve matinee. After winning five in a row by an average of 16.2 points, the Celtics fell 113-97 to the Toronto Raptors on Saturday for their second home loss in 15 tries.
Philadelphia at Indiana 3:00 PM ET
The Indiana Pacers dropped back-to-back games on the road over the weekend but are winners of five straight at home, where they will play the next two. The Pacers will try to avoid their first three-game slide since the opening three games of the season when they host the Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday.
L.A. Clippers at Sacramento 5:00 PM ET
The Los Angeles Clippers look to win in Sacramento for the 14th consecutive time when they visit the Kings on Tuesday. Los Angeles hasn't lost a game in California's capital city since falling 116-101 on March 19, 2013.
Cleveland at Toronto 7:00 PM ET
The Toronto Raptors are battling hard despite a string of injuries but couldn't quite find enough offense on the second night of a back-to-back and fell at home to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday. The Raptors will take a day off before they try to bounce back while hosting the Cleveland Cavaliers on Tuesday.
Denver at Houston 7:00 PM ET
NBA scoring leader James Harden is listed as questionable as the Houston Rockets host the Denver Nuggets on Tuesday. Harden missed his first game of the season on Sunday due to a sprained toe and Monday's update suggests his status won't be fully known until game day.
Golden State at San Antonio 7:00 PM ET
The Golden State Warriors put together their first four-game winning streak of the season thanks in large part to their efforts on the defensive end but suffered a big letdown on Saturday in a 141-121 home loss to the Dallas Mavericks. The Warriors will try to tighten things up when they begin a two-game trip by visiting the San Antonio Spurs on Tuesday.
Dallas at Oklahoma City 8:00 PM ET
Luka Doncic avoided a serious injury in a hard fall on Sunday and is expected to be in the lineup when the Dallas Mavericks visit the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday. The star point guard was briefly entered into the concussion protocol after the incident before returning later in the 108-95 road loss to the Los Angeles Lakers.
