Preview Roundups
December 30, 2019
Atlanta at Orlando 7:00 PM ET

The Orlando Magic have relied on a strong defense to overcome the lowest-scoring offense in the NBA, but after a subpar defensive effort in Saturday’s loss at Milwaukee the Magic hope to rebound Monday against the free-falling Atlanta Hawks. Orlando could not take advantage of the Bucks missing reigning MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo, losing 111-100 despite Jonathan Isaac’s seven steals as Milwaukee shot 51.2

Miami at Washington 7:00 PM ET
The Miami Heat look to improve their record on the road and extend an overall winning streak to six games when they visit the injury-plagued Washington Wizards on Monday night. The Heat are 15-1 at home after edging Philadelphia 117-116 in overtime on Saturday, but own nine wins in 16 games away from AmericanAirlines Arena as they go after a fourth straight victory over the Wizards.
Milwaukee at Chicago 8:00 PM ET
A break in the schedule is giving Giannis Antetokounmpo time to rest an achy back while the Milwaukee Bucks continue to pile up wins. Antetokounmpo is questionable to return to the lineup when the Bucks take on their third consecutive sub-.500 foe while visiting the Chicago Bulls on Monday.
Brooklyn at Minnesota 8:00 PM ET
The Minnesota Timberwolves are losers of 12 of their last 13 games and returned from a road trip with a dud on Saturday, dropping a 94-88 decision to the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Timberwolves will take another crack at finding the win column when they host the Brooklyn Nets on Monday.
Detroit at Utah 9:00 PM ET
The surging Utah Jazz hope to follow up a confidence-building victory against one of the league’s best teams by taking care of business against the visiting Detroit Pistons on Monday night. The Jazz have won seven of their last eight contests after holding the Los Angeles Clippers to just 15 points in the fourth quarter of a 120-107 triumph as Donovan Mitchell scored 30 to lead the way.
Phoenix at Portland 10:00 PM ET
The Phoenix Suns snapped an eight-game slide with a 112-110 victory at Sacramento on Saturday and are hoping to carry that momentum through the rest of the road trip. The Suns, who began the four-game trip with a loss at Golden State before pulling out of the funk against the Kings, continue the trek by visiting the slumping Portland Trail Blazers on Monday.
