Preview Roundups
December 27, 2017
Boston at Charlotte 7:00 PM ET
The Boston Celtics were running away at the top of the Eastern Conference a few weeks ago, but things are not progressing as smoothly of late. The Celtics will try to bounce back from a Christmas Day setback when they make a brief one-game road trip to visit the Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday.
Dallas at Indiana 7:00 PM ET
The Dallas Mavericks haven't been accumulating many victories but they do have one to boast about entering Wednesday's road game against the Indiana Pacers. Dallas outplayed a hot Toronto team on Tuesday by delivering a 98-93 victory that ended the Raptors' six-game winning streak.
Washington at Atlanta 7:30 PM ET
If a 35-point loss at Brooklyn marked the low point for the Washington Wizards, the next two games showed the heights the team can achieve. The Wizards will try to follow up a win over the Boston Celtics on Christmas Day and pick up their third consecutive victory when they visit the NBA-worst Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday.
New York at Chicago 8:00 PM ET
The New York Knicks fell apart after a Christmas Day loss a season ago and they will be hard-pressed to avoid a duplicate performance this time around. The Knicks look to snap a two-game slide when they open a three-game road trip at the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday.
Denver at Minnesota 8:00 PM ET
The Minnesota Timberwolves continue to speed ahead toward their first postseason appearance since 2003-04 when they go after a fifth straight victory Wednesday night against the visiting Denver Nuggets. The Timberwolves are eight games over .500 (21-13) for the first time in 14 seasons after rolling to a 121-104 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers on Monday and are averaging 114 points during their win streak.
Brooklyn at New Orleans 8:00 PM ET
The New Orleans Pelicans will try to match their longest winning streak of the season at three straight when they host the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday. The Pelicans clamped down defensively for a change while winning the last two legs of a four-game road trip at Orlando and Miami, winning both by double digits.
Toronto at Oklahoma City 8:00 PM ET
The Oklahoma City Thunder have started to click and aim to extend their season-best winning streak to six games when they host the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday. Oklahoma City's Russell Westbrook, Paul George and Carmelo Anthony are more comfortable with each other and the club is a stellar 11-3 in December.
Cleveland at Sacramento 10:00 PM ET
The Cleveland Cavaliers dropped the opener of a three-game road swing and look to get back on the winning side of the ledger when they visit the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday. Cleveland suffered a 99-92 setback against the Golden State Warriors in Monday's highly anticipated Christmas Day showdown to start an excursion that concludes with Saturday's game at Utah.
Utah at Golden State 10:30 PM ET
The Golden State Warriors own the best record in the NBA and are fresh off delivering a reminder of their status. Golden State posted a 99-92 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers in the highly anticipated Christmas Day showdown and has won 12 of its last 13 games.
Memphis at L.A. Lakers 10:30 PM ET
The Los Angeles Lakers hope to have a more complete lineup on the floor when they continue a four-game homestand against the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday. Forward Brandon Ingram (quadriceps) missed the first two games of the homestand - losses to Portland and Minnesota - but was a full participant in practice Tuesday.
