Preview Roundups
December 16, 2019
Washington at Detroit 7:00 PM ET
The Detroit Pistons have some impressive wins over quality teams during a recent hot stretch, and they'll try to take advantage of one of the league's lesser squads when they host the Washington Wizards on Monday. Detroit's 5-2 surge includes a home win over a solid Indiana team and a head-turning 115-107 triumph at Houston on Saturday night.
Cleveland at Toronto 7:30 PM ET
After snapping a three-game home losing streak, the Toronto Raptors will attempt to put together consecutive wins at Scotiabank Arena when they host the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday. The Raptors opened 9-0 at home before defeats to Miami, Houston and the Los Angeles Clippers, but they were able to stem the tide Saturday with a 110-102 win over the Brooklyn Nets.
San Antonio at Houston 8:00 PM ET
The San Antonio Spurs set a record on Saturday by playing in their fourth consecutive overtime contest - a stretch that began with a double-overtime victory over the Houston Rockets on Dec. 3. The Spurs will try to decide things in regulation when they visit the Rockets on Monday.
Miami at Memphis 8:00 PM ET
A youthful roster in Memphis is beginning to turn its talent into wins, and the surging Grizzlies will try their hand against one of the league's top teams when they host the Miami Heat on Monday. Behind a season-high 25 points from rookie Brandon Clarke, the Grizzlies rolled to a 128-111 win over the Washington Wizards on Saturday, their third victory in the last four games.
Dallas at Milwaukee 8:00 PM ET
The Milwaukee Bucks are two wins away from tying the longest winning streak in franchise history and don't appear to be slowing down anytime soon. The Bucks will try to pull off their 19th consecutive triumph when they host the Dallas Mavericks on Monday.
Chicago at Oklahoma City 8:00 PM ET
The Chicago Bulls can't seem to decide what kind of team they want to be, though the good version might be capable of making a run at the playoffs. The Bulls will try to put together two strong performances in a row when they visit the Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday.
Portland at Phoenix 9:00 PM ET
The Phoenix Suns traveled south of the border over the weekend but couldn’t find a way out of their funk while falling for the 10th time in the last 14 games. The Suns will try to get things right when they host the Portland Trail Blazers on Monday.
