Preview Roundups
December 08, 2019
Denver at Brooklyn 3:00 PM ET
The Brooklyn Nets continue to thrive without star point guard Kyrie Irving and look to follow up a perfect road trip with a home win when they host the Denver Nuggets on Sunday. The Nets improved to 8-3 in the 11 games missed by Irving (shoulder), who last played in a 101-93 loss at Denver on Nov. 14, with a 111-104 victory at Charlotte on Friday.
Atlanta at Charlotte 5:00 PM ET
The Charlotte Hornets have won seven straight home games against the Atlanta Hawks, a streak they'll try to extend Sunday when the teams have their first meeting of the season. The Hornets are 1-2 on their current five-game homestand following a 111-104 loss to the Brooklyn Nets on Friday night.
Chicago at Miami 6:00 PM ET
The Miami Heat are off to the best start at home in franchise history and with the way Jimmy Butler is playing there doesn't appear to be a letup coming anytime soon. Butler will try to lead the Heat to their 10th straight home victory to start the season when they host the Chicago Bulls on Sunday.
Toronto at Philadelphia 6:00 PM ET
The Toronto Raptors have not lost three games in a row in over a year, a fate they'll try to avoid Sunday when they visit the Philadelphia 76ers, who own the NBA's best home record at 11-0. After winning seven straight, the Raptors suffered an overtime loss to Miami and then endured a 119-109 setback against Houston on Thursday to close out a three-game homestand.
L.A. Clippers at Washington 6:00 PM ET
The Los Angeles Clippers are not a great road team yet, and they just got a taste of how far they might be from joining a group of the league's best teams. The Clippers will try to bounce back from their worst loss of the season and earn a rare win on the road when they visit the Washington Wizards on Sunday.
Sacramento at Dallas 7:00 PM ET
The Sacramento Kings are trying to build into a playoff contender but are still working on their late-game execution. The Kings will try to make the necessary plays down the stretch against one of the better teams in the league when they visit the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday.
Oklahoma City at Portland 9:00 PM ET
The Portland Trail Blazers are playing better with wins in four of their last six games and are confident enough in their ability to compete with the top teams in the league that they get upset when calls start going against them in winnable games. The Trail Blazers will try to bounce back from a frustrating loss when they host the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday.
Minnesota at L.A. Lakers 9:30 PM ET
The Los Angeles Lakers just swept a three-game road trip in impressive fashion and will try to pick up a win at home over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Sunday before heading out on a five-game trip. The Lakers own the best record in the Western Conference at 20-3 as Anthony Davis and LeBron James make building chemistry look easy.
