Preview Roundups
August 12, 2019
Baltimore at NY Yankees 1:05 PM ET
The New York Yankees are running away with the American League East in part because of their success this season against the team at the bottom of the division - the Baltimore Orioles. The Yankees will try to continue setting records when they host the Orioles in a doubleheader on Monday.
Cincinnati at Washington 7:05 PM ET
After their beleaguered bullpen finally came through to salvage the finale of a three-game series against the New York Mets, the Washington Nationals have another concern as they open a six-game homestand with the first of three against the Cincinnati Reds on Monday night. Outfielder Juan Soto exited Sunday's game with an ankle injury and is listed as day-to-day.

Texas at Toronto 7:07 PM ET
The Texas Rangers snapped a four-game slide and moved back above .500 with a win on Sunday but their postseason hopes are fading as they enter the second full week of August. The Rangers will try to keep hope alive and put a winning streak together when they visit the Toronto Blue Jays on Monday in the opener of a three-game series.
Boston at Cleveland 7:10 PM ET
The Cleveland Indians hope to continue their surge by moving into sole possession of first place in the American League Central when they host the fading Boston Red Sox to open a three-game series Monday night. The Indians took three out of four in Minnesota to end last week, capped by a 7-3 victory on Sunday, to tie the Twins for the top spot in the division and are a league-best 42-17 since June 4.
Houston at Chi. White Sox 8:10 PM ET
On the verge of winning their ninth in a row with a dramatic ninth-inning comeback, the Houston Astros instead were victimized by a walk-off home run to temporary slow their momentum. The Astros will turn to recent acquisition Zack Greinke when they continue their 10-game road trip in the opener of a three-game set at the Chicago White Sox on Monday night.
Arizona at Colorado 8:40 PM ET
The roadmap to the postseason is becoming complicated for the Arizona Diamondbacks, who fell back to .500 after losing two of three to the Los Angeles Dodgers over the weekend. Arizona continues its six-game road trip Monday when they open a three-game set against the Colorado Rockies, who have lost 26 of their last 35 games.
Pittsburgh at LA Angels 10:07 PM ET
The Los Angeles Angels were able to enjoy a positive conclusion to what was a miserable start to a long road trip over the weekend, but the Pittsburgh Pirates' ongoing nightmare appears to have no end in sight. The Angels take aim at a third straight victory Monday when they return home for the opener of a three-game interleague set against the Pirates.
Tampa Bay at San Diego 10:10 PM ET
The road continues to be kind to the Tampa Bay Rays, who begin a three-game interleague series against the host San Diego Padres on Monday. The Rays have won seven straight away games, one shy of the team record set in July of 2014, and hold a 1 1/2-game lead over Oakland for the second American League wild-card spot.
