Tampa Bay at Boston 1:05 PM ET
The Boston Red Sox looked great this week while playing against one of the worst teams in baseball, but the Tampa Bay Rays are posing more of a challenge. The Red Sox will try to get a pair of games back against an American League East rival when they host the Rays in a day-night doubleheader on Saturday.
Oakland at Texas 2:05 PM ET
Marcus Semien delivered a smashing performance at the plate for the Oakland Athletics in the series opener and has a chance to provide two more on Saturday, when the team visits the Texas Rangers for a day-night doubleheader. Semien capped a 4-for-5 effort with a two-run homer in the ninth inning, giving Oakland a 5-3 victory in the first contest of the four-game set.
Chi. White Sox at Kansas City 2:15 PM ET
Chicago's Lucas Giolito is an intelligent man and he'll continue applying his newfound approach when the White Sox visit the Kansas City Royals on Saturday afternoon in the middle contest of their three-game set. Giolito decided to stop thinking so much this season and the results have already led to a six-game winning streak and American League Pitcher of the Month honors for May while relying mostly on his fastball and changeup.
Arizona at Toronto 3:07 PM ET
In the midst of playing 20 of 26 games away from home, the Arizona Diamondbacks saw their offense break out of a slump with three home runs in the opener of a 10-game road trip in Toronto. The Diamondbacks doubled their run total from the previous three games with an 8-2 victory Friday and hope to carry the momentum into Saturday afternoon's matchup versus the Blue Jays.
Cincinnati at Philadelphia 4:05 PM ET
The Jay Bruce acquisition has paid immediate and impressive dividends for the Philadelphia Phillies, who aim to win their fourth straight game when they play the second game of a three-game series with the visiting Cincinnati Reds on Saturday. Bruce has four home runs over his last three games, including a go-ahead two-run shot in Friday's 4-2 win.
Pittsburgh at Milwaukee 4:10 PM ET
The Pittsburgh Pirates' pitching staff has shown a disturbing tendency to allow opponents to tee off against them this season, especially when they are facing the Milwaukee Brewers. After giving up yet another explosive offensive performance, the Pirates hope to cool off the bats of the Brewers when the National League Central rivals continue their three-game set in Milwaukee on Saturday.
NY Yankees at Cleveland 4:10 PM ET
CC Sabathia spent nearly all of his first eight major league seasons with the Cleveland Indians, winning an American League Cy Young Award and 106 games. The left-hander could be making his final start in Cleveland and will be in search of his 250th career victory when the New York Yankees continue a three-game series against the Indians on Saturday afternoon.
Baltimore at Houston 4:10 PM ET
The Houston Astros look to register their eighth win in nine games when they host the Baltimore Orioles on Saturday for the middle contest of their three-game series. Houston posted a 4-3, 11-inning victory on Friday to improve to 44-21, which matches the best 65-game start in franchise history (2017).
Atlanta at Miami 4:10 PM ET
Ronald Acuna Jr. is one of the most recognizable faces in the majors at 21 years old, and the Atlanta Braves outfielder carries a seven-game hitting streak - and a measure of revenge redeemed - into Saturday’s middle contest of a three-game series at the Miami Marlins. Acuna homered off Jose Urena, who drilled the National League Rookie of the Year with a pitch last August, en route to a 3-for-5 performance with three RBIs as the Braves captured Friday’s series opener.
Minnesota at Detroit 4:10 PM ET
The Detroit Tigers still had a reason to believe they could keep pace with the Minnesota Twins in the American League Central when they split a four-game series against them in the middle of May, but they are well out of the division race less than a month later. The Tigers attempt to turn around their sinking fortunes Saturday, when they host the Twins for the middle contest of their three-game series.
Tampa Bay at Boston 6:10 PM ET
The Boston Red Sox looked great this week while playing against one of the worst teams in baseball, but the Tampa Bay Rays are posing more of a challenge. The Red Sox will try to get a pair of games back against an American League East rival when they host the Rays in a day-night doubleheader on Saturday.
Colorado at NY Mets 7:15 PM ET
The Colorado Rockies are rolling along with wins in 10 of their last 12 games and pulled even on their road trip by outlasting the New York Mets 5-1 on Friday. The Rockies will try to make it 11 of 13 and clinch a series win when they visit the Mets for the second of a three-game series on Saturday.
LA Dodgers at San Francisco 7:15 PM ET
Less than 24 hours after handing Clayton Kershaw his first loss of the season, the San Francisco Giants attempt to clinch a series win when they host the Los Angeles Dodgers on Saturday for the middle contest of their three-game set.
St. Louis at Chi. Cubs 7:15 PM ET
The home team has taken each of the first seven meetings between the St. Louis Cardinals and rival Chicago Cubs this year, a trend the Cubs hope to keep alive when the teams continue a three-game series at Wrigley Field on Saturday. Chicago, which dropped three straight in St. Louis last weekend, improved to 4-0 against the Cardinals at home with Friday's 3-1 triumph.
Oakland at Texas 9:05 PM ET
Marcus Semien delivered a smashing performance at the plate for the Oakland Athletics in the series opener and has a chance to provide two more on Saturday, when the team visits the Texas Rangers for a day-night doubleheader. Semien capped a 4-for-5 effort with a two-run homer in the ninth inning, giving Oakland a 5-3 victory in the first contest of the four-game set.
Seattle at LA Angels 10:07 PM ET
Former Japanese stars Shohei Ohtani and Yusei Kikuchi will have a highly anticipated showdown on Saturday, when Ohtani's Los Angeles Angels host Kikuchi's Seattle Mariners for the middle contest of their three-game series. Kikuchi will be the Mariners' starting pitcher while Los Angeles manager Brad Ausmus indicated that Ohtani will serve as the designated hitter for the duo's first meeting in the major leagues.
Washington at San Diego 10:10 PM ET
Josh Naylor was expected to be sent back to the minors any day now, but the rookie outfielder might be sticking around with the San Diego Padres a while longer. The 21-year-old Canadian has impressed in his short stint with the Padres, who continue their four-game series against the visiting Washington Nationals on Saturday.
