NY Mets at Washington 1:05 PM ET
Washington's Victor Robles is still learning the nuances of Major League Baseball but the Nationals are happy with the young Dominican's progress. Robles leads the club with eight home runs and will try to go deep for a third straight contest when Washington hosts the New York Mets on Thursday afternoon in the rubber match of their three-game series.
Milwaukee at Philadelphia 1:05 PM ET
The Milwaukee Brewers regained their footing following a three-game losing skid to win back-to-back games and nine of their last 12 overall. The Brewers look to remain on the fast track on Thursday afternoon in the series finale against the host Philadelphia Phillies, who have lost two straight after winning 11 of their previous 15.
Oakland at Detroit 1:10 PM ET
A pair of teams looking to end their respective losing streaks meet Thursday in Detroit where the Tigers open a four-game series with the visiting Oakland Athletics. Detroit was outscored 24-6 while losing three straight to Houston to begin its homestand, capped by Wednesday's 5-1 defeat.
Texas at Kansas City 1:15 PM ET
Nomar Mazara attempts to build on a three-game hot streak when the Texas Rangers conclude a three-game series against the host Kansas City Royals on Thursday. Mozara matched his career high of four hits on Wednesday to help the Rangers post a 6-1 victory.
Baltimore at Cleveland 6:10 PM ET
The Cleveland Indians enjoyed a rare day off on Wednesday while the Baltimore Orioles worked double duty in the form of a doubleheader in the Bronx. The well-rested Indians look to take advantage of the scheduling quirk on Thursday when they open an 11-game homestand with the first contest of a four-game series against the Orioles, who have lost six of their last seven contests.
Chi. Cubs at Cincinnati 6:40 PM ET
The Cincinnati Reds look to build off a big comeback victory when they send ace Luis Castillo to the mound for the rubber match of a three-game set with the visiting Chicago Cubs on Thursday night. Eugenio Suarez tied the game with a two-run homer in the eighth inning and Yasiel Puig’s walk-off RBI single in the 10th gave Cincinnati a 6-5 victory Wednesday - its fourth triumph in the last six games.
St. Louis at Atlanta 7:20 PM ET
The newest piece of the Atlanta Braves' constant young wave of talent has arrived in the major leagues, and Austin Riley will look to continue making an impact in Thursday’s series finale at home against the St. Louis Cardinals. One of the top-ranked prospects in the Braves minor-league system homered in his big-league debut Wednesday, helping power Atlanta to its fourth victory in five games with a 4-0 win that evened the three-game series at one game apiece.
Toronto at Chi. White Sox 8:10 PM ET
The Chicago White Sox came up short in their bid for a season-high fourth straight win as another member of their starting rotation was dealing with an ailment, but they will get no sympathy from the pitching-strapped Toronto Blue Jays. The White Sox will host the Blue Jays in the opener of a four-game set on Thursday after taking two of three in Toronto last weekend.
Pittsburgh at San Diego 10:10 PM ET
San Diego native Trevor Williams pitches inside Petco Park for the second time when the Pittsburgh Pirates visit the Padres on Thursday in the opener of a four-game series. Williams didn't fare well last year in his first appearance as he allowed four runs and four hits over 4 2/3 innings during a 4-3 loss.
Minnesota at Seattle 10:10 PM ET
The Minnesota Twins are in the mix for the best record in the American League and sitting atop the Central Division while playing equally well at home and on the road. Winners of seven of their last 10, the Twins will play their next seven games away from Target Field beginning with the opener of a four-game series at the Seattle Mariners on Thursday night.
