Preview Roundups
April 21, 2019
Kansas City at NY Yankees 1:05 PM ET
The New York Yankees pounded out four home runs in their most recent win but their injury-ravaged lineup could be facing another huge loss with slugger Aaron Judge exiting Saturday's game with an oblique injury. Judge is not expected to be in the lineup Sunday afternoon when the Yankees look to make it three consecutive wins over the visiting Kansas City Royals.
Minnesota at Baltimore 1:05 PM ET
Eddie Rosario and the rest of the Minnesota Twins might not want to say goodbye to Camden Yards for the season, which they'll do after completing a three-game series with the host Baltimore Orioles on Sunday. After rain wiped out Friday's scheduled contest, the Twins took both ends of Saturday's doubleheader while hammering 11 home runs, including a franchise record-tying eight in a 16-7 win in the nightcap.
Washington at Miami 1:10 PM ET
The Miami Marlins enjoyed an offensive explosion on Saturday against the National League's premier pitcher and clinched their first series win of the season. The Marlins will try to pull off their first sweep when they host the Washington Nationals in the finale on Sunday.
Chi. White Sox at Detroit 1:10 PM ET
The Chicago White Sox are tied for the most runs scored in the American League Central Division but they have also allowed the most, a big reason they are sitting three games under .500. The pitching had shown improvement over the past week, helping the White Sox win four of their last six entering the rubber match of a rain-shortened series at the Detroit Tigers on Sunday afternoon.
San Francisco at Pittsburgh 1:35 PM ET
Shortstop Cole Tucker provided plenty of excitement for the home fans in his major-league debut and hopes to add more highlights when the Pittsburgh Pirates go for a three-game sweep of the visiting San Francisco Giants on Sunday. Tucker belted the go-ahead two-run homer in the fifth inning, just before a long rain delay, as the Pirates went on to earn a 3-1 victory in the weather-shortened contest Saturday.
Boston at Tampa Bay 2:10 PM ET
The defending World Series champions are winners of back-to-back games for the second time this season, but the cracks are still visible. The Red Sox will try to put together a complete effort and pull off a three-game sweep when they visit the Tampa Bay Rays on Sunday for the finale.
LA Dodgers at Milwaukee 2:10 PM ET
Christian Yelich could have been forgiven if he was unable to maintain the pace he set last year (.326 batting average, 36 homers, 110 RBIs) considering he had never batted better than .300, hit more than 21 homers or drove in 100 runs previously. The reigning National League MVP is instead enjoying a brilliant encore, and attempts to sustain his otherworldly production at home Sunday when the Milwaukee Brewers try to earn a split of their four-game set with the Los Angeles Dodgers.
NY Mets at St. Louis 2:15 PM ET
The St. Louis Cardinals look to stay hot at home when they host the New York Mets on Sunday in the rubber match of a three-game series. Saturday's 10-2 victory gave the Cardinals six wins in their last seven games at home, where they play their next six after the Mets leave town.
Arizona at Chi. Cubs 2:20 PM ET

The Arizona Diamondbacks will try to wrap up a second straight series win on the road when they play the rubber match of a three-game set against the host Chicago Cubs on Sunday. The Diamondbacks are 4-1 on their 10-game road trip, which moves to Pittsburgh for four games following the finale in Chicago.

Houston at Texas 3:05 PM ET
Joey Gallo looks to continue his latest power surge when the host Texas Rangers go after a second straight series victory this season against the American League West-rival Houston Astros on Sunday afternoon. The 25-year-old slugger launched his fourth homer in five games Saturday as the Rangers rolled to a 9-4 victory over the Astros to even the series after taking two of three against them to open April.
Philadelphia at Colorado 3:10 PM ET
Coors Field has been especially unkind to the Philadelphia Phillies over the past few years, but Bryce Harper appears intent on reversing the trend. The Phillies aim for a split of their four-game series against host Colorado on Sunday after snapping a six-game losing streak against the Rockies on Saturday.
Seattle at LA Angels 4:07 PM ET
The Seattle Mariners can seemingly do no wrong away from home, and their ability to flex their muscles on the road has fueled their early rise atop the American League West. The Mariners attempt to remain undefeated against the Los Angeles Angels this season and set their sights on a four-game road sweep when the division rivals conclude their series Sunday.
Toronto at Oakland 4:07 PM ET
The Toronto Blue Jays are steamrolling through a seven-game road trip and hope to finish it on a high note when they end a three-game series at the Oakland Athletics on Sunday. The Blue Jays have won the first two games of the series by a combined 15-2 margin while improving to 5-1 on the trip.
Cincinnati at San Diego 4:10 PM ET
The Cincinnati Reds try for a four-game sweep of the host San Diego Padres with suddenly unhittable Raisel Iglesias the star of the show. The 29-year-old Cuban, who entered the series with a 6.75 ERA, has pitched an inning in each of the first three games of the set and struck out all nine batters on 41 pitches, earning two saves in the process as the Reds outscored the Padres 11-5.
Atlanta at Cleveland 7:05 PM ET
The Atlanta Braves had lost four in a row and were staring at a 7-0 deficit in the finale of a Saturday doubleheader at the Cleveland Indians, but will enter Sunday seeking to win the series after a furious rally. Ronald Acuna Jr. doubled home the go-ahead run to lift the Braves to an 8-7 victory in the nightcap, after Atlanta dropped the opener 8-4 and trailed the final game by seven runs through four innings.
