April 01, 2019
St. Louis at Pittsburgh 1:05 PM ET

The St. Louis Cardinals have finished ahead of the Pittsburgh Pirates in the division standings for 19 consecutive years. They’ll try to get a leg up on making it 20 when the National League Central rivals meet for a quick two-game set starting Monday in Pittsburgh.

Chi. White Sox at Cleveland 4:10 PM ET
The Cleveland Indians look to get their offense in gear after struggling in the first three games of the season when they host the American League Central-rival Chicago White Sox in their home opener Monday afternoon. The injury-hampered Indians managed just five runs on 12 hits with 39 strikeouts to lose two of three in the cold at Minnesota and return home where they were 49-32 last year on the way to a third straight division title.
Detroit at NY Yankees 6:35 PM ET
Losing two of three at home to the worst team in baseball a year ago was not how the New York Yankees envisioned their season would start. The Yankees will try to rebound from back-to-back losses to the Baltimore Orioles when they open a three-game series with the visiting Detroit Tigers on Monday.
Milwaukee at Cincinnati 6:40 PM ET

The Milwaukee Brewers got their National League Central title defense off to a solid start, and they’ll try to keep up the momentum against another division rival when they travel to face the Cincinnati Reds for a three-game series starting Monday. The Brewers took three of four from visiting St. Louis over the weekend, including a 5-4 victory Sunday on Christian Yelich’s two-run, walk-off double.

Baltimore at Toronto 7:07 PM ET
The Toronto Blue Jays somehow managed to split their season-opening series despite not seeing a run get scored against their starting pitchers, while the Baltimore Orioles managed to win their first road series of 2019 against the World Series favorite following the worst year in club history. A pair of American League East rivals coming off odd starts to the season open a three-game set Monday when the Orioles visit the Blue Jays.
Colorado at Tampa Bay 7:10 PM ET
The Tampa Bay Rays ended last season as one of the majors' hottest teams but beginning the year 1-8 proved costly as they finished one game behind Cleveland for the second and final wild-card spot in the American League. The Rays find themselves 3-1 after four games for the first time since 2012 and look to build upon a strong showing in their opening series Monday when they host the Colorado Rockies in the opener of a three-game interleague series.
NY Mets at Miami 7:10 PM ET
Brodie Van Wagenen has not been shy about touting his team's chances of making the postseason in 2019 since taking over as the New York Mets' general manager late last year, and his team likely hasn't done anything to dampen his enthusiasm with the resiliency it has shown already. The Mets begin the back half of their season-opening six-game road trip Monday when they visit Miami for the first of three games versus the Marlins.
Chi. Cubs at Atlanta 7:10 PM ET
The Chicago Cubs won their season opener but then saw their pitching implode in back-to-back losses and head into Monday’s contest against the host Atlanta Braves needing better work on the mound. The Cubs squandered leads of 4-0 and 8-5 in Sunday’s 11-10 setback at Texas, with the winning run scoring on Pedro Strop’s wild pitch in the bottom of the ninth inning to cap a two-day stretch in which Chicago pitchers gave up 19 runs on 22 hits and 18 walks.
Houston at Texas 8:05 PM ET
The Houston Astros look to rediscover their offense when they begin a three-game series against the host Texas Rangers on Monday. Houston opened the season with a 5-1 victory over Tampa Bay before dropping the next three games, scoring a total of four runs in the process.
Boston at Oakland 10:07 PM ET
The Boston Red Sox have not gotten off to the start for which they had hoped after capturing their fourth World Series title in 15 years. The reigning champions attempt to bounce back from a rough season-opening series when they begin a four-game road set against the Oakland Athletics on Monday.
Arizona at San Diego 10:10 PM ET

Manny Machado has been fairly quiet at the plate in his first week with the San Diego Padres, but he's already making a clear impact on the lineup. After taking three of four against San Francisco, the Padres begin a three-game series against the visiting Arizona Diamondbacks on Monday.

San Francisco at LA Dodgers 10:10 PM ET
The light-hitting San Francisco Giants will need to kick-start their offense on Monday, when they begin a three-game series against the host Los Angeles Dodgers. While the Dodgers set a franchise record with 42 runs scored in their season-opening four-game series against Arizona, the Giants dropped three of four to San Diego while producing a total of five runs.
LA Angels at Seattle 10:10 PM ET
After beating up on a pair of 2018 playoff teams - including the reigning world champions - the Seattle Mariners hope their bats remain hot when they begin a two-game series against the host Los Angeles Angels on Monday. Seattle totaled 14 runs in a pair of wins over Oakland in Japan before producing 34 while winning three of four against Boston.
