Calle Jarnkrok scored his second goal of the game 46 seconds into overtime and the Toronto Maple Leafs defeated the visiting Tampa Bay Lightning 6-5 on Monday night.

Jarnkrok scored from close on a pass from Morgan Rielly after Tampa Bay had tied the score late in the third.

Auston Matthews had two goals and an assist for the Maple Leafs, who ended a four-game losing streak. Mitchell Marner added a goal and three assists and Matthew Knies had a goal and two assists. Rielly added two assists.

Ilya Samsonov allowed four goals on 12 shots before being replaced by Joseph Woll in the Toronto goal in the first period. Woll made 18 saves.

Nikita Kucherov had two goals and two assists for the Lightning. Victor Hedman had a goal and two assists, and Brayden Point and Brandon Hagel each had a goal and an assist for Tampa Bay.

Jonas Johansson stopped 27 shots.

Tampa Bay led 4-1 after the first period.

Knies scored his third goal of the season at 3:42, converting Marner's pass to the edge of the crease.

Hedman scored his third of the season 35 seconds later on a shot from the left circle.

Kucherov scored on a shot from the right circle at 6:11.

Kucherov then added his ninth of the season on a one-timer from the right circle during a power play at 11:27. Toronto had been penalized for too many men on the ice.

Point scored his sixth of the season from the slot during a power play at 15:13. Mark Giordano was off for tripping.

Matthews scored at 2:22 of the second period from the high slot.

Matthews added his 13th of the season at 5:42 of the second on a pass from the edge of the crease from Knies.

The Maple Leafs scored twice within eight seconds early in the third period to take the lead.

Jarnkrok scored his second of the season on a rebound at 1:55 and Marner scored his fifth of the season soon after the faceoff.

Hagel tied the game at 17:34 of the third with his seventh goal of the season.
