Markus Granlund scored in the fourth round of a shootout to give the Vancouver Canucks a 3-2 victory over the Vegas Golden Knights on Wednesday night in Las Vegas.

Granlund came down the slot and fired a wrist shot past Marc-Andre Fleury's stick side and inside the left post to give the Canucks a fifth win in their last seven games.

Bo Horvat scored both regulation goals for Vancouver. The Canucks defeated the Golden Knights for the first time in team history after losing all four meetings between the teams last season, getting outscored 19-10.

Jacob Markstrom had 33 saves for the Canucks and then stopped attempts by Erik Haula, Max Pacioretty, Jonathan Marchessault and William Karlsson in the shootout.

Pacioretty and Ryan Reaves scored regulation goals for Vegas, which had a three-game win streak snapped. Fleury made 26 saves and stopped shootout tries by Horvat, Nickolay Goldobin and Brendan Leipsic before yielding the game-winner to Granlund.

Vegas took a 1-0 lead at the 1:18 mark of the second period on Pacioretty's second goal of the season. Haula set up the score by stealing the puck from defenseman Derrick Pouliot behind the Vancouver goal and then centering it to Pacioretty in the slot. The former Montreal Canadiens captain then squeaked a shot under Markstrom for career point No. 450.

Horvat then scored two goals in the span of 64 seconds to put the Canucks ahead 2-1. The first came when he deflected Loui Eriksson's shot from the left point inside the left post at 4:22 of the middle period. The second came off a nice zone clearing pass from Tim Schaller that Horvat gathered near center ice and then broke down the left side before shooting the puck past Fleury's glove side.

Reaves tied it with his second goal in two games. He fired a wrist shot from the top of the left circle off a drop pass by William Carrier past Markstrom's blocker side at 17:39 of the second period.
