Blues 7, Stars 5: Zbynek Michalek forged a tie at 4:44 of the third period and fellow defenseman Alex Pietrangelo snapped it 5:13 later with a turnaround shot from the top of the slot as visiting St. Louis rallied to win a wild affair.

Jaden Schwartz completed his second career hat trick with an empty-net goal and Patrik Berglund scored twice for the Blues, who remained one point ahead of Chicago for second place in the Central Division. Michalek and Pietrangelo each added an assist, T.J. Oshie and blue-liners Kevin Shattenkirk and Jay Bouwmeester notched two apiece and Brian Elliott made 27 saves as St. Louis pulled even in points with division-leading Nashville with four games remaining.

Captain Jamie Benn scored two goals and set up another while Tyler Seguin recorded a tally and two assists for the Stars, who stayed six points behind idle Los Angeles for the second wild-card spot in the Western Conference with four games left. Travis Moen and Antoine Roussel also scored while Kari Lehtonen allowed six goals on 19 shots before being replaced by Jhonas Enroth, who stopped the only shot he faced.

Berglund opened the scoring with 2:11 left in the first period by redirecting Michalek's one-timer from the right point, but Moen answered exactly two minutes later by converting a penalty shot after being tripped by Michalek on a breakaway. Berglund put St. Louis back in front 15 seconds into the middle session with a tip-in and Schwartz backhanded his own rebound past Lehtonen 17 seconds later for a 3-1 lead.

It took Dallas just six seconds to respond as Benn beat Elliott with a wrist shot from the top of the slot for the first of four straight goals by the Stars. Seguin, Benn and Roussel tallied later in the period for a 5-3 advantage before Schwartz began St. Louis' comeback by beating Lehtonen to the glove side from the left circle with 26 seconds remaining in the session.
