Canucks 5, Blackhawks 4 (OT): Daniel Sedin’s second goal of the game at 1:20 of overtime helped visiting Vancouver overcome Chicago’s late third-period rally.

Linden Vey, fellow rookie Bo Horvat and Zack Kassian also scored for the Canucks, who improved to 5-7-0 against Central Division opponents. Defenseman Luca Sbisa, captain Henrik Sedin and Chris Higgins notched two assists apiece while Eddie Lack stopped 37 shots en route to his second victory in two starts this month.

Marian Hossa scored twice for the third consecutive game, All-Star Patrick Kane recorded a goal and two assists and Brandon Saad added one of each for the Blackhawks, who extended their point streak to four contests (2-0-2). Corey Crawford made 25 of his 31 saves over the first two periods.

Daniel Sedin received a centering feed from his twin brother and beat Crawford from the low slot for the winning goal after Saad and Hossa has scored in the final 2:11 of regulation to force the extra session. Saad deflected defenseman Duncan Keith's point shot past Lack at 17:49 of the third as Chicago pulled Crawford for an extra attacker while on the power play, and Hossa wristed the puck between the goaltender's pads from the doorstep with 55 seconds remaining to forge a tie.

Lack robbed Kane on a breakaway in the final minute of the first period, but the superstar got the Blackhawks on the board 57 seconds into the second as his centering pass deflected off a Vancouver defender. Vey completed a pinpoint passing play at 4:42 to knot the game and Horvat put the Canucks ahead 2:02 later while Kassian tipped Sbisa’s point shot with 8:41 left in the period for a 3-1 advantage.
