Blackhawks 5, Stars 4 (OT): Patrick Sharp scored 1:17 into overtime as host Chicago continued its domination of Dallas.

Brad Richards' sharp-angle shot from just above the goal line in the left corner beat Kari Lehtonen to forge a 4-4 tie with 3:57 remaining in the third period. The Blackhawks rode that momentum into overtime as defenseman Duncan Keith faked a shot from the point before feeding Sharp, who beat Lehtonen from in close to end the wild contest.

Patrick Kane scored his team-leading 19th goal while Brandon Saad and Bryan Bickell also tallied for the Blackhawks, who have won all three meetings this season and 11 of the last 12 against the Stars. Keith and Marian Hossa each had two assists, Richards added one and Corey Crawford finished with 30 saves to improve to 9-1-0 against the Stars.

Erik Cole scored two goals and set up another and captain Jamie Benn and his brother Jordie each tallied for Dallas, which saw its four-game winning streak come to an end with its second loss in 10 outings overall. Defenseman Alex Goligoski set up a pair of goals and Lehtonen turned aside 33 shots while making his 12th consecutive start.

The teams scored 75 seconds apart early in the first period and tallied again in a 1:43 stretch early in the second before Cole's sharp-angle shot sailed under the crossbar at 4:43 to give the Stars a 3-2 lead. Bickell deflected Richards' shot from the point with 1:55 left in the session and Goligoski's bid was headed wide before Cole deftly deflected the puck past Crawford to give Dallas its fourth lead 4:05 into the third period.
