Stars 6, Coyotes 0: Captain Jamie Benn and Cody Eakin each recorded a goal and an assist while Kari Lehtonen registered his 30th career shutout to lift host Dallas to its third win in a row.

Brett Ritchie scored in his NHL debut while Colton Sceviour, Ales Hemsky and Ryan Garbutt also tallied as the Stars improved to 7-1-0 in their last eight. Lehtonen made 25 of his 32 saves over the final two periods to earn his third shutout of the season.

Arizona had its three-game winning streak snapped, allowing at least four goals for the eighth time in 12 games. Devan Dubnyk, who had surrendered four tallies in winning his previous three starts, turned aside 25 shots.

Ritchie scored on the first shot of his career, taking a feed from Travis Moen and beating Dubnyk high to the short side from the slot 7:22 into the second period. Sceviour doubled the lead 63 seconds later, finishing a 3-on-2 rush by ripping a shot over the left shoulder of Dubnyk.

Benn's pass attempt went in off the skate of Coyotes defenseman Connor Murphy during a power play 79 seconds into the third before Eakin converted a slap shot from the right faceoff circle five minutes later. Hemsky extended the lead with 6:27 to play before Garbutt capped the scoring at 19:02.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Stars won all three meetings with Arizona, marking the first time they've swept the season series since 1991-92. ... Stars leading scorer Tyler Seguin assisted on Benn's tally to give him 22 points in his last 18 games. ... Earlier Wednesday, the NHL finalized the sale that made Andrew Barroway the majority owner of the Coyotes with a 51 percent stake in the franchise.
