Kings 4, Coyotes 0: Captain Dustin Brown scored a pair of goals and set up another to back Martin Jones' second consecutive shutout for visiting Los Angeles.

Defenseman Alec Martinez and Jarret Stoll each recorded a power-play goal to go along with an assist as the Kings won for only the third time on the road and ended a string of five straight losses in Arizona. Jones turned aside 26 shots for his sixth career shutout and has not allowed a goal in 156 minutes, 32 seconds.

Mike Smith was yanked after allowing three goals on 20 shots for the Coyotes, who dropped their sixth straight at home to match their longest skid since Jan. 27-Feb. 16, 2009. Devan Dubnyk made 22 saves in relief as Phoenix lost for the seventh time in nine games (2-5-2).

Brown gave Jones the only goal he would need when he intercepted a pass by Kyle Chipchura and broke in alone before beating Smith to the stick side at 8:59 of the first period. Brown doubled the lead midway through the second, moments after Jones denied a pair of attempts in close, by beating Smith to the glove side during a 3-on-2 rush.

Stoll extended the lead to 3-0 with 4:19 left in the period, redirecting a shot by Martinez to end Smith's night. Martinez capped the scoring midway through the third with a slap slot for his third tally,
