Penguins 4, Maple Leafs 3 (OT): Blake Comeau completed a hat trick by scoring at 2:53 of overtime to send host Pittsburgh to its fifth straight win over Toronto.

Comeau blasted a long slap shot that beat Jonathan Bernier and Evgeni Malkin added a goal and two assists as the Penguins improved to 5-1-1 in their last seven overall games and beat the Maple Leafs for third time this season. Captain Sidney Crosby added a pair of assists, including his 800th career point, while Marc-Andre Fleury turned aside 24 shots for his 301st career victory.

Leo Komarov scored a pair of goals and Tyler Bozak added a short-handed tally as Toronto was denied in its bid for a third straight win. Bernier made 22 saves to remain winless (0-3-2) in his career against Pittsburgh.

Comeau scored 26 seconds into the contest, sliding a backhander from the slot past Bernier, and Malkin doubled the lead just over 12 minutes later with a searing straight-on blast from the point during a power play. Komarov tied it with tallies 2:37 apart midway through the second period, converting a feed from Mike Santorelli before redirecting a shot by captain Dion Phaneuf that bounced and took a high hop past Fleury.

The Penguins reclaimed the lead 2 1/2 minutes later as Comeau fought off Toronto defenseman Cody Franson in front and tipped Chris Kunitz's shot past Bernier. Bozak knotted it with a great individual effort, intercepting a pass in his own zone and blowing past Pittsburgh blue-liner Kris Letang before beating Fleury with 3:39 left in the period.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Malkin, who extended his point streak to six games, tied Rick Kehoe for fourth place on the franchise list with his 95th career power-play tally and boosted his point total to 50 in 27 games versus the Maple Leafs. ... Bozak notched Toronto's fifth short-handed tally of the season, tying Los Angeles for the league lead. ... Maple Leafs RW Joffrey Lupul returned to the lineup after a 12-game absence, but the Penguins learned that RW Beau Bennett (lower body) is expected to miss two weeks due to an injury sustained in Monday's game versus Boston.
