Stars 3, Oilers 2: Tyler Seguin scored twice in the second period to increase his league-leading goal total to 17 as host Dallas skated to its third straight victory.

Rookie defenseman John Klingberg tallied from center ice to extend both his goal-scoring streak to three games and point stretch to five. Klingberg added an assist and Kari Lehtonen finished with 35 saves for the Stars, who have won 14 of their last 17 meetings with Edmonton.

Taylor Hall scored from the right doorstep for his 100th career goal to trim the Oilers' deficit to 3-2 at 5:59 of the third period. Boyd Gordon netted a short-handed tally and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins notched the 100th assist of his career for Edmonton, which has dropped seven in a row (0-6-1) and fell to 0-11-1 against Western Conference representatives.

Klingberg's stretch pass connected with Seguin, who bolted in from the blue line before tucking the puck past the extended pad of Viktor Fasth (31 saves) on a backhander to give Dallas a 2-1 lead at 5:59 of the second period. Seguin doubled the advantage under 12 minutes later as his low wrist shot from the slot sailed over the glove of the netminder.

Klingberg opened the scoring in unconventional fashion as his blast from the neutral zone sailed over the glove of Fasth at 12:49 of the first period. Edmonton answered while short-handed, as Gordon cleaned up his own rebound on a 2-on-1 rush with 30 seconds remaining in the session.
