Predators 2, Blues 1: James Neal scored the tiebreaking goal with 6:28 to play in the third period as visiting Nashville snapped St. Louis' seven-game winning streak.

Filip Forsberg matched Neal with a goal and an assist as the Predators also halted a string of six straight losses at the hands of the Blues. Pekka Rinne won his third straight start, turning aside 28 shots as Nashville wrapped up a 4-2-0 road trip.

Jori Lehtera scored the only goal for St. Louis, which suffered its first loss since a 4-1 setback to Vancouver on Oct. 23. Brian Elliott made 33 saves as the Blues fell one point behind the Predators for first place in the Central Division.

St. Louis opened the scoring with 5 1/2 minutes left in the opening period on a setup by the red-hot Vladimir Tarasenko, whose initial shot was stopped before Lehtera swooped in and lifted a backhander past Rinne. Nashville pulled even just over seven minutes into the middle session as Forsberg moved in from the right side and whistled a shot over the left pad of Elliott.

Forsberg collected his 14th point in 14 games on Neal's game-winning goal. He skated down the left wing and left a drop pass for Neal, who unleashed a wrist shot from the top of the circle that beat Elliott inside the left post.
