Predators 3, Canucks 1: Filip Forsberg scored his second goal of the game at 6:42 of the third period to snap a tie as visiting Nashville halted Vancouver's winning streak.

Forsberg completed his three-point performance with an assist on Colin Wilson's late goal as the Predators improved to 2-1-0 on their season-high six-game road trip. James Neal notched a pair of assists and Pekka Rinne stopped 26 shots en route to his second win in his last nine meetings with the Canucks (2-4-1).

Defenseman Alex Edler tallied for Vancouver, which failed in its quest for a fifth straight victory. Eddie Lack finished with 30 saves while losing for the third time in as many decisions this season.

Vancouver took the lead thanks to a fortunate bounce during a power play in the first period. Edler unleashed a wrist shot from above the slot that hit the crossbar before bouncing off Rinne's back and into the net at 11:10.

The Predators drew even with a stroke of luck of their own 98 seconds into the middle session as Canucks defenseman Dan Hamhuis inadvertently whacked the puck into his own net while attempting to clear it away after Forsberg fired it toward the net from the top of the slot. Forsberg scored a more conventional goal to give Nashville the lead, poking the puck past Lack from the doorstep after Neal fanned on his attempt, and Wilson beat the netminder from the left faceoff circle with 1:33 remaining to seal the win.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Nashville was without D Anton Volchenkov, who received a four-game suspension from the NHL for his check to the head of Calgary's Michael Ferland on Friday. ... Vancouver lost D Kevin Bieksa to an upper-body injury in the first period and LW Tom Sestito to a lower-body ailment in the second. ... Canucks LW Alex Burrows served the second contest of his three-game suspension for a hit to the head of Montreal's Alexei Emelin on Thursday.
