Canucks 3, Oilers 2: Derek Dorsett capitalized on a turnover while short-handed early in the third period to snap a tie and lead visiting Vancouver to its fourth consecutive victory.

Defenseman Luca Sbisa and Linden Vey also scored while Dorsett added an assist for the Canucks, who have won all three meetings with Edmonton thus far this season. Ryan Miller made 25 saves in improving to 10-0-0 lifetime against the Oilers.

Jordan Eberle and David Perron tallied for Edmonton, which completed a 4-3-0 homestand. Ben Scrivens turned aside 27 shots as the Oilers fell to 0-6-1 against Western Conference opponents.

Edmonton grabbed the lead at 12:39 of the first period, when Eberle shoved a backhander past Miller to cap a rush down the right wing. Sbisa forged a tie with 47 seconds remaining in the session by pinching from the left point and firing a loose puck in the slot past Scrivens.

Vey buried a rebound from the bottom of the right faceoff circle with 3:23 left in the second to put Vancouver ahead, but Perron fired the puck between Miller's pads from the right circle 64 seconds later to draw the Oilers even. Scrivens made an ill-advised backhanded clearing attempt during a power play, banking the puck off the right-wing boards to Dorsett, who ripped it past the netminder from the right circle at 4:05 for a 3-2 edge.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Edmonton LW Taylor Hall notched an assist on Eberle's goal before crashing into the post while driving to the net on his first shift of the second period. The 2010 first overall draft pick appeared to be favoring his right leg as he headed to the locker room and did not return. ... Two of the Oilers' three losses on their season-high seven-game homestand came against Vancouver. ... Miller's victory was the 302nd of his career, tying him with Turk Broda for 27th place on the all-time list. ... Canucks LW Alex Burrows began serving his three-game suspension for delivering a hit to the head of Montreal D Alexei Emelin on Thursday.
