Bruins 4, Senators 2: Matt Fraser scored a pair of goals 88 seconds apart in the second period to power host Boston past Ottawa.

Brad Marchand tallied for the third time in two games and defenseman Dennis Seidenberg netted his first goal as the Bruins (7-6-0) moved above .500 for the first time since winning their season opener. Tuukka Rask turned aside 27 shots to improve to 6-2-0 against Ottawa.

Mark Stone and Mika Zibanejad scored for the Senators, who lost for the fourth time in five games (1-2-2). Robin Lehner made 26 saves in the loss.

After Marchand and Stone traded goals 38 seconds apart late in the opening period, Fraser put Boston ahead with a pair of goals in short order in the second. Fraser swooped in from the right side and buried the rebound of Loui Eriksson's shot from the right faceoff circle at 11:14 before accepting a lead pass from Soderberg and ripping a top-shelf wrist shot from the left circle.

A turnover by Ottawa captain Erik Karlsson helped Boston pad the advantage, with Seidenberg blasting a shot past Lehner from the top of the left circle 2:08 into the third to help the Bruins withstand Zibanejad's late tally. Marchand opened the scoring off a faceoff with 66 seconds left in the first, but Stone answered by stuffing the puck between Rask's left skate and the post during a 2-on-1 rush.
