Flyers 3, Kings 2 (OT): Brayden Schenn burned his former team by scoring 2:36 into overtime as host Philadelphia ended Los Angeles' six-game winning streak.

Schenn's initial shot during a breakaway was denied by Jonathan Quick (40 saves), but both the puck and netminder drifted across the goal line. Officials initially waved off the goal due to contact by Schenn, but they reconvened and reversed the call after a video review.

Michael Raffl scored his third goal in two contests and Chris Vande Velde also tallied for the first time since the 2011-12 campaign for the Flyers, who skated to their third straight victory. Jakub Voracek notched a pair of assists for the fourth time in five games to reach 200 for his career and Ray Emery turned aside 38 shots to improve to 4-0-1 this season.

Tyler Toffoli scored a short-handed goal as the members of "That '70s Line" have accounted for 17 of the Kings' 24 tallies this season. Former Flyers captain Mike Richards tapped home a rebound following a 3-on-2 rush to forge a 2-2 tie early in the third period.

After coach Craig Berube stressed the importance of getting an early lead during Monday's practice, Philadelphia did just that as Raffl pounced on a loose puck after captain Claude Giroux's shot was blocked at 5:24 of the first period. Toffoli answered nearly eight minutes later by scoring on a breakaway, but Voracek skated out from behind the net and set up Vande Velde in the slot with 44 seconds remaining in the session to regain the advantage for the Flyers.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Los Angeles C Anze Kopitar sat out with an upper-body injury, forcing the team to compete with only 19 players in lieu of both its salary cap situation as well as D Slava Voynov serving an indefinite suspension due to the suspicion of domestic violence. ... Richards was booed loudly when introduced prior to the game. The veteran played with the Flyers from 2005-11 before being traded to Los Angeles. ... Former Flyers C Jeff Carter won 12 of his 17 faceoffs.
