Wild 4, Bruins 3: Defenseman Marco Scandella scored with 5:53 remaining in the third as visiting Minnesota overcame a two-goal deficit in the period to continue its dominance against Boston.

After yielding five third-period goals in Monday's 5-4 loss to the New York Rangers, the Wild erased a 3-1 deficit in short order versus the Bruins. Zach Parise redirected Mikael Granlund's spinning centering feed at 4:21 and Justin Fontaine poked home a loose puck 2:13 later before Scandella's blast from the point deflected off Boston's David Krejci and past Tuukka Rask (38 saves).

Niklas Backstrom turned aside 25 shots to improve to 5-0-1 in his career against Boston. Eleven different players notched at least one point for the Wild, who have won three of four overall and improved to 12-2-1 all-time versus the Bruins.

Rookie Seth Griffith collected two goals and an assist while Milan Lucic added one of each for the Bruins, who have split their first six contests at TD Garden. Krejci notched an assist to extend his point streak to seven games while defenseman Zach Trotman picked up his first career point by setting up Griffith's first tally.

Entering the contest with one career goal, Griffith netted his second in as many periods by redirecting Gregory Campbell's centering feed 5:23 into the middle session to give Boston a 2-1 lead. The Bruins doubled the advantage during a power play with 3:01 left in the period as defenseman Torey Krug wired a sharp pass that caromed off the stick of Lucic on the doorstep and past Backstrom.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Krejci has collected three goals and six assists during his point streak. ... Minnesota's Justin Falk was recalled from Iowa of the American Hockey League on Tuesday and inserted into the lineup.
