Penguins 3, Blue Jackets 1: Jussi Jokinen snapped a tie at 6:16 of the third period as host Pittsburgh claimed a 3-2 lead in its Eastern Conference first-round series.

Chris Kunitz recorded a power-play goal and an assist while defenseman Kris Letang scored into an empty net for the Metropolitan Division-champion Penguins, who registered at least 15 shots in each period. Marc-Andre Fleury recovered from a disappointing effort in Game 4 to make 23 saves.

Rookie Boone Jenner netted the lone tally for the Blue Jackets, who attempt to stave off elimination when they host Game 6 on Monday. Sergei Bobrovsky was superb in defeat, turning aside 48 shots.

Columbus took the lead during a power play at 12:55 of the first period as a loose puck squirted to Jenner, who backhanded it into the net at the left post for his third goal of the series. Pittsburgh pulled even 7:42 into the second, when Kunitz deposited his third attempt past Bobrovsky.

Bobrovsky made stops on Lee Stempniak and Brandon Sutter in front early in the third, but the Penguins would not be denied. The Russian netminder was unable to control the puck after Sutter's attempt and it slid across the crease for Jokinen, who tapped in a backhander near the right post to snap the tie.
