Anaheim built a 2-0 lead in quick fashion, as Sbisa scored on a blast from the left point 7:36 into the contest and Beleskey converted a feed by Rickard Rakell from the doorstep 69 seconds later. Richardson halved the deficit at 11:12, burying the rebound of defenseman Ryan Stanton's left-point shot from the left side of the crease.

Koivu restored the two-goal advantage for the Ducks with 8:58 left in the second period as he beat Lack with a backhander from the slot. Perry knocked in a loose puck in the crease less than seven minutes into the third before setting up Perreault later in the session to cap the scoring.
