Jets 4, Sharks 3: Defenseman Tobias Enstrom scored a power-play goal with 3:36 remaining in the third period to snap a tie as Winnipeg handed San Jose just its sixth regulation loss at home this season.

Blake Wheeler registered a goal and two assists, Dustin Byfuglien scored during a man advantage and captain Andrew Ladd also tallied for the Jets, who remained nine points behind Phoenix for the second wild-card spot in the Western Conference with eight games left. Bryan Little and Michael Frolik each notched two assists while Al Montoya made 27 saves.

Brent Burns and Logan Couture netted power-play goals and defenseman Dan Boyle also scored for the Sharks, who fell four points behind St. Louis in the race for the Presidents' Trophy and remained two ahead of Anaheim for first place in the Pacific Division. James Sheppard and Martin Havlat had two assists apiece while Antti Niemi turned aside 27 shots.

Boyle got San Jose on the board 1:57 into the contest, pinching from the left point and redirecting Sheppard's pass from above the right faceoff circle. Ladd buried his third attempt from the doorstep 36 seconds later to forge a tie before Burns beat Montoya with a backhander from the left hash marks during a power play at 14:27 of the first to put the Sharks back in front.

Wheeler scored from a tough angle below the right circle at 1:55 of the second and set up Byfuglien with a cross-slot pass midway through the session as the Jets took a 3-2 lead. Sheppard's one-timer from the top of the slot went in off Couture's hand in front less than two minutes later, but Enstrom drilled Wheeler's cross-crease pass past Niemi from the bottom of the left circle for the winning tally.

GAME NOTEBOOK: San Jose dropped to 9-2-3 in its last 14 games. ... Ladd returned to Winnipeg's lineup after missing Monday's loss at Dallas due to the birth of his daughter. ... Sharks captain Joe Thornton appeared in his 1,200th career contest, becoming the 99th player to reach the milestone.
