Predators 3, Blackhawks 2: Mike Fisher and Patric Hornqvist scored less than 3 1/2 minutes apart late in the first period and Nashville never relinquished the lead en route to completing a perfect 3-0-0 road trip.

Ryan Ellis scored in the opening minute of the third period and fellow defenseman Roman Josi collected three assists as the Predators handed Chicago its second straight one-goal defeat. Pekka Rinne made 31 saves to beat the Blackhawks for the first time in seven starts and captain Shea Weber added a pair of assists.

Captain Jonathan Toews and Peter Regin scored for Chicago, which lost for the 15th time in 25 games (10-8-7). Corey Crawford turned aside 26 shots in falling to 11-3-3 lifetime against Nashville.

The Predators scored twice late in the first period when Fisher batted home a rebound of Josi's point shot and Hornqvist backhanded a carom of Weber's blast past Crawford at 18:51. Toews answered 55 seconds later, moving in on a partial breakaway before working a give-and-go with Kris Versteeg and beating a spread-eagled Rinne to cut it to 2-1.

Ellis restored the two-goal lead when he came out of the penalty box and was sent in on a breakaway by Josi, deking Crawford and scoring on a forehand 45 seconds into the third. Regin pulled Chicago within 3-2 nearly eight minutes later with a deflection of defenseman Johnny Oduya's shot from the right point.
