Ducks 5, Hurricanes 3: Corey Perry scored two goals and set up another as league-leading Anaheim handed visiting Carolina its fifth consecutive loss.

Defenseman Francois Beauchemin, Andrew Cogliano and Jakob Silfverberg also tallied for the Ducks, who scored the game's first five goals after netting a total of three in their previous four home contests. Dustin Penner notched a pair of assists and Frederik Andersen turned aside 49 shots.

Blue-liner Andrej Sekera extended his point streak to four games with a goal while Patrick Dwyer and Alexander Semin also scored for the Hurricanes, who look to salvage the finale of their five-game road trip Tuesday at San Jose.

Perry opened the scoring at 6:39 of the first period with a shot from the left side of the crease and Beauchemin doubled the lead by blasting the puck past Cam Ward (29 saves) from above the right faceoff circle seven minutes later. Perry made it 3-0 with 3:34 remaining, beating the netminder with a wrist shot from the left circle to complete his sixth two-goal performance of the season.

Cogliano fired the puck between Ward's pads from the left circle while short-handed at 3:31 of the second and Silfverberg continued the onslaught at 8:47 by knocking in the puck at the left post. Sekera got Carolina on the board with 4:40 left in the period while Dwyer and Semin tallied in the third, but it was too little, too late for the Hurricanes.
