Blackhawks 5, Penguins 1: Captain Jonathan Toews scored two goals and set up another as Chicago snapped a two-game slide by topping visiting Pittsburgh at a snowy Soldier Field in the final installment of the 2014 NHL Stadium Series.

Patrick Sharp added a goal and an assist while Kris Versteeg and Bryan Bickell also tallied for the Blackhawks, who played in Chicago for the first time since Jan. 26. Corey Crawford turned aside 31 shots as his club scored more than two goals for just the second time in six contests.

James Neal extended his goal-scoring streak to five games for the Penguins, who had their five-game point streak against Chicago halted. Marc-Andre Fleury finished with 35 saves as Pittsburgh fell to 0-1-2 in its last three.

Toews set up Sharp for a shot from the right faceoff circle that caromed off the left post and in with 4:25 remaining in the first period. Toews doubled the lead midway through the second, skating around Pittsburgh defenseman Brooks Orpik in the slot and sliding a backhander between Fleury's pads to reach the 20-goal plateau for the seventh time in his seven-year career.

Versteeg tapped in Patrick Kane's pass during a 3-on-1 rush less than six minutes later, but the Penguins got on the board at 6:21 of the third as Chicago defenseman Brent Seabrook inadvertently shot Neal's pass attempt into his own net. Bickell restored the three-goal advantage by burying his own rebound with 6:03 remaining and Toews capped the scoring less than four minutes later, when the rebound of his shot went in off a defender.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Chicago evened its record in outdoor games at 1-1. It lost to Detroit at Wrigley Field on Jan. 1, 2009. The Penguins dropped to 1-2 in such contests, as they defeated the Sabres at Ralph Wilson Stadium in Buffalo on Jan. 1, 2008 before falling to Washington at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh exactly three years later. ... Fleury's pads, glove and blocker all were gold-colored while his mask resembled the helmet of the NFL's Pittsburgh Steelers. ... Snow fell at a steady pace - especially in the first period, forcing lengthy timeouts as the ice crew shoveled it away. ... Neal extended his point streak to seven games with his 22nd goal. ... Pop-rock band Plain White T's, which hails from the Chicago suburbs, performed prior to the game and during the first intermission.
