Lightning 4, Red Wings 2: Alex Killorn swept in a rebound with 3:11 left in the third period to snap a tie as Tampa Bay defeated visiting Detroit for the fourth time in as many tries this season.

Ondrej Palat completed his first career two-goal performance with an empty-netter and Tom Pyatt collected a tally and an assist for the Lightning. Ben Bishop, who left Thursday's game with an upper-body injury, came back to make 31 saves for his 28th victory of the campaign.

Daniel Alfredsson and Tomas Jurco scored while Pavel Datsyuk notched an assist for his 800th career point for the Red Wings, who were playing the 6,000th game in franchise history. Jimmy Howard made 24 saves - including one on Nikita Kucherov's penalty shot with 1:36 to go in the third - for Detroit, which saw its four-game point streak come to an end.

Datsyuk stole the puck behind the net and set up Alfredsson at the bottom of the right faceoff circle to open the scoring with 2:42 left in the first period. Palat tied it 1:44 into the second session, chipping home his own rebound for Tampa Bay’s first power-play goal in eight games.

Jurco lifted a backhand shot over Bishop 11:19 into the middle period, but Pyatt answered almost six minutes later, battling to get off a backhander that got by Howard. Killorn buried a loose puck at the left side of the net to put the Lightning ahead after Pyatt sent it in front off teammate Teddy Purcell.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Alfredsson’s first-period goal was his 1,143rd career point, moving him past former Detroit D Nicklas Lidstrom for second place on the all-time list of players from Sweden. Mats Sundin is first with 1,349 points. … Lightning C Vladislav Namestnikov, a 2011 first-round pick, played 11:55 in his NHL debut. Namestnikov is the nephew of former Red Wings standout Slava Kozlov. … Tampa Bay D Sami Salo chipped in with a pair of assists.
