Jets 3, Blackhawks 1: Captain Andrew Ladd snapped a tie with 7:07 remaining as visiting Winnipeg rallied for three goals in the third period to hand Chicago its third straight loss (0-2-1).

Blake Wheeler scored twice for the Jets, who improved to 6-1-0 since Paul Maurice replaced Claude Noel behind the bench. Al Montoya turned aside 34 shots as Winnipeg salvaged the finale of the four-game season series.

Brandon Bollig netted the lone goal for the Blackhawks, who had won seven straight meetings with the Jets franchise. Corey Crawford finished with 18 saves as Chicago fell to 4-3-5 this month.

Chicago needed just 81 seconds to get on the board as Bollig grabbed the puck on the right side of the crease and went behind the net before banking a backhander off Montoya and in from near the left post. After being outshot 18-2 in the first period and 27-6 through 40 minutes, Winnipeg turned things around in the third.

Wheeler forged a 1-1 tie at 8:16, burying a loose puck from the inner edge of the right faceoff circle on the Jets' 11th shot of the game. Ladd, who was a member of Chicago's championship team in 2010, put Winnipeg ahead by beating Crawford to the glove side with a wrist shot from the top of the slot.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Blackhawks D Duncan Keith returned to the lineup and logged 23:19 of ice time after missing Thursday's loss to Minnesota due to illness. ... Wheeler's second goal - an empty-netter - was his 21st of the season, matching his career high set as a rookie with Boston in 2008-09. ... Chicago RW Patrick Kane was kept off the scoresheet in his 500th NHL game. ... The Blackhawks had not lost to the Jets franchise since Oct. 27, 2007.
