Flyers 5, Coyotes 3: Jakub Voracek set up Wayne Simmonds' tying goal early in the third period before scoring the go-ahead tally with 8:08 remaining as visiting Philadelphia rallied for four unanswered goals to spoil Phoenix captain Shane Doan's return.

Scott Hartnell, Brayden Schenn and captain Claude Giroux also scored for the Flyers, who improved to 4-1-0 on their six-game road trip. Steve Mason turned aside 26 shots as Philadelphia won for the seventh time in nine overall contests.

Mikkel Boedker recorded a goal and an assist while Rob Klinkhammer and Lauri Korpikoski also scored for the Coyotes, who have lost eight of 10 (2-4-4). Rookie defenseman Connor Murphy notched two assists, Mike Smith finished with 23 saves and Doan played just over 18 1/2 minutes after missing 12 games with Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever.

Klinkhammer snapped a scoreless tie 1:29 into the second period, burying the rebound of Antoine Vermette's wraparound attempt at the right post. Korpikoski made it 2-0 at 2:54, but Hartnell converted a cross-slot pass from defenseman Mark Streit 17 seconds later to halve the deficit.

Boedker restored Phoenix's two-goal advantage at 6:47 as he received a long pass from blue-liner Keith Yandle and beat Mason on a breakaway. Schenn closed the gap to 3-2 with 2:45 remaining in the session and Simmonds buried a rebound on the doorstep during a power play 4:22 into the third before Voracek stole the puck from Yandle and fired it past Smith from the right faceoff circle.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Giroux sealed the victory with an empty-net goal in the final minute. ... Hartnell's goal extended his point streak to seven games. He has collected three tallies and five assists during the run. ... The Coyotes was scoreless on four power-play chances, including an opportunity with 3:29 remaining in the third period.
