Bruins 4, Jets 1: Defenseman Torey Krug collected two goals and an assist for his first career three-point performance and Tuukka Rask turned aside 36 shots as Boston skated to its 12th consecutive home victory over the Winnipeg/Atlanta franchise.

Fourth-liner Daniel Paille scored a goal and set up another and Reilly Smith netted his team-leading 15th tally for the Bruins, who improved to 15-1-2 in their last 18 at home. Boston's victory also came in Claude Julien's 500th game as the club's coach.

Defenseman Dustin Byfuglien tallied for the second straight game for the Jets, who have dropped the first two contests on their three-game road trip. The franchise hasn't won in Boston since the then-Atlanta Thrashers skated to a 3-2 victory on March 31, 2007.

A game-time decision after missing practice on Friday with an undisclosed ailment, Krug gave the Bruins a 2-1 lead at 3:08 of the second period as his blast from the point sailed past Ondrej Pavelec (25 saves). The defenseman continued his stellar afternoon just over four minutes later with a wrist shot from along the left-wing boards that deflected off the stick of Winnipeg rookie blue-liner Jacob Trouba and into the net.

Byfuglien opened the scoring midway through the first period after collecting his own rebound and skating around the edge of the left circle before wristing a shot past Rask. Paille answered with 5:54 remaining in the session despite losing an edge on a wraparound bid, but converted the return pass from Krug for his third goal in four games.
