Blue Jackets 4, Oilers 2: Ryan Johansen scored his team-leading ninth goal and added an assist and Sergei Bobrovsky turned aside 25 shots as host Columbus avenged an embarrassing loss to Edmonton.

Artem Anisimov and Nick Foligno netted power-play goals and Jack Skille also tallied as the Blue Jackets scored three times in the second period against the team that routed them 7-0 on Nov. 19. Matt Calvert notched two assists in the victory.

After stopping all 18 shots in a 6-0 victory over Toronto on Monday, Bobrovsky's bid for a second shutout in three games ended when Sam Gagner scored midway through the third period. The reigning Vezina Trophy winner allowed Jordan Eberle's team-leading 10th goal just over five minutes later before holding the fort from there as Columbus claimed its fourth win in seven outings.

The Blue Jackets drew first blood at 7:50 of the first period as Cam Atkinson fed Johansen, whose shot from in close sailed under the crossbar for his third goal in three games.

Columbus paid dividends on the power play at 3:34 of the second as Calvert's bid from the right doorstep caromed off both Ilya Bryzgalov's left pad and Anisimov before heading into the net. Foligno extended Columbus' lead to 3-0 nearly seven minutes later after beating Bryzgalov (19 saves), who was replaced by Devan Dubnyk (five saves) to begin the third period.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Edmonton C Ryan Nugent-Hopkins had an assist on Eberle's goal to extend his point streak to five games. ... Columbus collected a pair of power-play goals for the second time in three contests. ... Blue Jackets RW Corey Tropp notched an assist in his first game since being claimed off waivers from Buffalo.
