Bruins 3, Blue Jackets 2 (OT): Milan Lucic scored 4:11 into overtime as host Boston recorded its second four-game win streak of the season.

Lucic blocked former Boston College star Cam Atkinson's shot just inside his own blue line before chasing down the loose puck at the outer edge of the right circle. The burly Lucic wristed a shot between the pads of Sergei Bobrovsky for his eighth goal, surpassing last season's total.

Fourth-liner Shawn Thornton and Loui Eriksson also tallied to snap their respective 10- and seven-game goalless droughts for the Bruins, who won four in a row from Oct. 17-24. Chad Johnson turned aside 32 shots in his third appearance of the season and first on home ice.

Blake Comeau scored and Nick Foligno forged a 2-2 tie late in the second period with his fourth tally of the season for the Blue Jackets, who fell to 1-5-2 in their last eight contests. Mark Letestu notched an assist in his 200th game and Bobrovsky finished with 28 saves.

After being held off the scoresheet in each of the last 10 games, Thornton gave Boston a 2-1 lead by blasting a shot from the outer edge of the right circle that caromed off the stick of Columbus defenseman Jack Johnson and under the crossbar. Foligno answered nearly 6 1/2 minutes later after he backhanded the rebound of his initial shot past Johnson.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Comeau opened the scoring at 12:48 of the first period after converting Letestu's blind backhanded centering feed from behind the net. Eriksson, who also scored in Boston's 3-1 win over Columbus on Oct. 12, countered nearly 5 1/2 minutes later as he used his left skate to redirect captain Zdeno Chara's point shot past Bobrovsky. ... Bruins D Torey Krug notched an assist to extend his point streak to five games. He has two goals and three assists in that stretch. ... After denying all four of the Blue Jackets' power-play opportunities, the Bruins have killed off their last 26 while short-handed.
