Coyotes 3, Blues 2 (OT): Defenseman Oliver Ekman-Larsson scored 56 seconds into overtime and Mike Smith recorded 37 saves as visiting Phoenix skated to its seventh win in eight games.

Ekman-Larsson, who also recorded an assist, was able to free himself from Patrik Berglund's stick, which got stuck in his skate. The defenseman moved toward the middle of the ice before blasting a shot from well above the faceoff circles that sailed under the crossbar for his fourth goal of the season.

David Moss scored his first goal of the season, Mikkel Boedker also tallied and Mike Ribeiro notched two assists as the Coyotes defeated St. Louis for the second time in eight meetings.

Defenseman Roman Polak scored to forge a 2-2 tie early in the third period and Maxim Lapierre also tallied. Alex Steen notched an assist to extend his career-high point streak to 11 games and Jaroslav Halak made 16 saves for the Blues, who saw their three-game winning streak come to an end.

Boedker converted a 3-on-1 rush to give Phoenix a 2-1 lead with 31 seconds remaining in the first period. The advantage held up until 2:49 of the third as Steen took advantage of a stickless David Schlemko and wired a brilliant feed from along the left-wing boards to a cutting Polak, who beat Smith inside the right post for his second goal of the season.

GAME NOTEBOOK: D Carlo Colaiacovo agreed to a one-year contract with St. Louis, pending a physical. The 30-year-old, who spent four seasons with the Blues from 2008-12, has been sidelined with a shoulder injury since playing six games with Detroit last campaign. ... The Blues have scored the first goal in eight straight games and 13 of 16 overall.
