Crawford earned his ninth victory as Chicago improved to 9-1-3 in its last 13 contests and won its sixth straight against the Winnipeg franchise.

Devin Setoguchi scored in the third period while playing in his 400th career game. Al Montoya made his second straight start in net after beating Detroit 4-2 on Monday, turning aside 24 shots for the Jets.

After killing off two Winnipeg power plays, Toews gave the Blackhawks a 1-0 lead at 17:29 of the first period with a backhander after a flurry in front. Kane doubled the advantage with six seconds remaining in the opening period with a blast from the top of the left circle.

Pirri scored his third NHL goal to extend the lead with 1:58 left in the second, beating Montoya on a breakaway after a nifty pass from Ben Smith. Sharp scored his third goal in five games exactly four minutes into the third as Chicago pulled away.
