Canucks 3, Blues 2 (OT): Ryan Kesler scored his second goal of the game during a power play at 4:45 of overtime as Vancouver completed its seven-game road trip with a victory.

Daniel Sedin's shot from the high slot was deflected by a defender's stick, and the puck hit Kesler in the chest before dropping to the ice. From the doorstep, Kesler got off a backhander that beat Jaroslav Halak for the winning tally.

Chris Higgins scored in regulation while Mike Santorelli notched two assists for the Canucks, who went 5-1-1 on their trek. Eddie Lack turned aside 22 shots in his third career start as Vancouver went beyond regulation four times on the trip.

Alex Steen recorded a goal and an assist and Vladimir Sobotka also scored for St. Louis, which has earned at least one point in seven of its first eight games this season. Defenseman Kevin Shattenkirk set up both tallies and Halak made 18 saves as the Blues went to overtime for the third straight game.

Higgins opened the scoring with 2:49 remaining in the first period and Kesler beat Halak from the left hash marks at 9:34 of the second for a 2-0 Vancouver lead. Steen converted a pass from T.J. Oshie during a power play with seven seconds left in the period and Sobotka buried a bouncing puck 1:38 into the third to forge a tie.

Vancouver RW Darren Archibald made his NHL debut, registering two shots on goal in 8:01 of ice time, while LW Pascal Pelletier went 1-for-3 on faceoffs in 8:34 in his first NHL appearance since 2008-09 while with Chicago. ...
