Jets 5, Kings 3: Devin Setoguchi scored twice and added an assist while Evander Kane also recorded a three-point performance as host Winnipeg matched its best start in franchise history.

Olli Jokinen netted his 300th career goal and Bryan Little added an empty-net tally to seal the win. Ondrej Pavelec turned aside 33 shots for the Jets, who improved to 2-0-0 for just the third time - with the previous two occurring when they were known as the Atlanta Thrashers (2003-04, 2009-10).

Jeff Carter converted a power-play chance for his second goal in as many nights and Justin Williams celebrated his 32nd birthday by cleaning up a rebound to trim the deficit to 4-3 with 4:16 remaining in the third period. Defenseman Matt Greene also tallied for the Kings, who fell to 1-3-2 in their last six meetings with the current Jets' franchise.

After Blake Wheeler's apparent goal was disallowed following a review, Jokinen answered in short order to give Winnipeg a 2-1 lead with 7:06 remaining in the second period. Jokinen, who was selected third overall in the 1997 draft by Los Angeles, settled a loose puck following a blocked shot and beat Jonathan Quick (23 saves) for his first goal of the season.

Kane forged a 1-1 tie with 4:15 remaining in the first period, solving Quick with a blast into the top corner of the net. Setoguchi gave Winnipeg a 3-1 advantage with a power-play tally at 2:22 of the third and completed his two-goal effort by scoring on a wraparound nearly three minutes later.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Los Angeles G Ben Scrivens relieved Quick and stopped all five shots he faced. ... Greene opened the scoring 14:17 into the first period, when his shot caromed off Winnipeg D Dustin Byfuglien and past Pavelec. ... Jets D Grant Clitsome sat out with an undisclosed injury.
